Responsibilities
We are hiring a licensed Red Seal Automotive Technician.
This is a busy shop with consistent work. Our current technicians produce 40+ units every week.
If you can diagnose vehicles and turn wrenches, you will stay busy here.
Pay
Per Unit/Flat Rate - Earning potential $70,000 at 41 units/week ; $95,000 at 51 units/week
40+ units per week is normal
Steady volume, few slow weeks
What you"ll do
Diagnose and repair vehicles
Maintenance, brakes, suspension, steering, exhaust, general repairs
Complete inspections and write required work via mobile tablets
Work with our service advisors to keep jobs moving
What you must have
Requirements / Skills
- Valid mechanic"s licence and driver"s licence for province of employment.
- Ability to handle physical demands including standing/walking for 8 hours while frequently lifting and carrying items, twisting, turning and reaching
- Ability to work shifts (days, evenings, week-ends and holidays)
- Approachable
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to find solutions to problems, adapt and cope with challenging situations and make decisions
- Knowledge of current automobile technology
- Ability to work effectively with computerized systems
- Results-oriented
- Effective communication skills and ability to give precise instructions
- Experience in a similar role, in a Canadian Tire Automotive Service Centre, is considered an asset
- Good working knowledge of COSTAR is considered an asset
