Become a key player in advancing justice through policy as a part-time Engagement Specialist. Use your critical research and writing skills to influence law reforms and facilitate meaningful discussions. In this position, you will engage with volunteer committees tasked with shaping legal advocacy and policy submissions.

Your role involves synthesizing research, preparing materials for meetings, and ensuring that recommendations are communicated clearly. A proactive approach and strong judgment are essential for navigating various legal topics and contributing to effective solutions. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support volunteer committee activities
  • Prepare materials and facilitate committee meetings
  • Draft plain-language submissions for diverse audiences
  • Conduct research on legal policy impacts
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and volunteers Requirements:
  • Degree in legal studies, justice, or political science
  • 5 years of experience in policy support roles
  • Strong knowledge of BC legal practice areas
  • Exceptional writing and communication abilities
