About the Role
We’re looking for a project manager, strategist and storyteller to join our marketing team as Associate Marketing Manager, Content & Campaigns. In this role, you’ll own the brand marketing calendar, lead DTC content strategy and execution (including brief writing and copywriting), leveraging strong product knowledge and analysis to enable performance optimization and bring creative ideas to life across multiple channels.
You are a strong project manager, accountable for managing timelines and deliverables and coordinating across teams. You are content-obsessed and excited to shape how our brand shows up everywhere - from paid ads and email, to web, social, and beyond. This is an exciting opportunity to help elevate a brand through impactful content that builds brand love, drives engagement, and delivers measurable results.
You are a proactive self-starter that seeks out and immerses themselves in product knowledge, market landscape and industry trends, and can leverage data and insights to optimize performance and build content strategy. You’ll lead the development and execution of integrated campaign plans, write compelling creative briefs, and drive brainstorms that turn bold ideas into reality. With a balance of creativity and strategy, you’ll craft high-quality content and launch targeted campaigns that make an impact.
What You’ll Do
- Marketing Calendar
- Manage marketing calendar that brings our campaigns to life across paid channels, email, web, and working closely with social for organic integration.
- Content Strategy
- Own the content strategy in partnership with the Senior Brand Manager, ensuring all storytelling reflects our brand voice and marketing objectives, along with incorporating product knowledge, performance data, and market trends.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration and Project Management
- Work closely with creative, ecomm and social teams to align on goals and deliverables. Be accountable for deliverables and timeline management (long lead planning and executional projects). Work closely with the AMM, Social & Community to ensure consistency of brand messaging across paid and earned media.
- Campaign Planning
- Develop and execute integrated content campaigns that connect with our audience across paid, owned, and earned channels, incorporate product insights, DTC goals and priorities, market trends and past performance.
- Creative Ideation
- Lead brainstorms and creative concepting sessions, bringing fresh, high-impact ideas to the table that differentiate our brand in the market.
- Briefs and Copywriting
- Create strategic creative briefs and provide copywriting for campaigns, paid ads, emails, packaging, blogs, video scripts and ecomm PDPs - ensuring a consistent voice and compelling and accurate messaging. Work with project management tools including Asana tracking, WIP planning and others.
- Performance Tracking & Optimization
- Partner with growth marketing to review content performance and continuously optimize for KPIs including engagement, reach, and conversion. Immerse yourself in market trends and competitive landscape.
- Storyboard & Photos Shoots – Provide input into storyboarding for video content. Collaborate with the Senior Art Director to support creative outlines as needed for photo and video shoots.
What You Bring
- 3 - 5 years of experience in content marketing, brand marketing, or campaign management
- Highly organized and collaborative, with strong project management experience
- Proven ability to manage content calendars, run integrated campaigns and measure performance
- Strong copywriting and messaging skills with a knack for compelling storytelling
- Pet industry experience is a bonus
We Offer
- Competitive salary ($50,000- $65,000 range)
- Three weeks vacation package to start, plus generous Paid Time Off
- Hybrid work environment (minimum 1 day/week in Toronto office)
- Full suite of employee benefits and discounts
- Annual wellness stipend to support your mental and physical well-being.
- A collaborative, creative culture (with lots of adorable pooches) where your ideas make a real impact.
