UI/UX Designer (Mobile App)

Position overview:

The App UI/UX Designer will focus primarily on designing intuitive, visually engaging, and user-friendly interfaces for our mobile app (iOS & Android), while also supporting web experience design as needed. You will collaborate closely with marketing, development, and e-commerce teams to create seamless, high-impact digital experiences that support our online retail strategy.

Responsibilities

• Design high-quality mobile app UI, including layouts, flows, wireframes, prototypes, and interactive elements.
• Create intuitive UX flows for core app functionalities such as browsing, checkout, account management, and notifications.
• Ensure all app designs follow platform-specific guidelines (Apple HIG, Material Design).
• Conduct usability testing, analyze user behavior, and iterate designs based on insights and analytics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, development, and content creators, to translate requirements into effective mobile experiences.
• Maintain and evolve the app’s design system, style guides, and UI libraries.
• Support web UI/UX projects when necessary to ensure consistency across platforms.
• Stay current with mobile UI trends, UX best practices, and emerging technologies.
• Work closely with developers to ensure accurate implementation of app designs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in UI/UX Design, Interaction Design, Product Design, or related discipline.
• 3+ years of experience designing mobile apps (iOS and/or Android) with a strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end app UI/UX design.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of mobile UX patterns, navigation principles, and responsive/resizable layouts.
• Experience creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI assets for mobile.
• Familiarity with usability testing, A/B testing, and user research methodologies.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with developers and communicate design rationale clearly.
• Understanding of basic front-end concepts is an asset (HTML/CSS/JavaScript).
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating intuitive, high-quality digital experiences.

Preferred Skills

• Experience designing for e-commerce or transactional apps.
• Knowledge of mobile app animations / micro-interactions.
• Familiarity with React Native, Flutter, or other app frameworks is an asset
• Experience building or contributing to digital design systems.
