About Us Cigar Lake, located in northern Saskatchewan, is the world’s highest-grade uranium mine. The uranium produced at Cigar Lake is used for nuclear fuel products, which utilities around the world rely on to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power. The Role
Cameco is looking for a motivated individual to join our process operations team at the Cigar Lake operation in northern Saskatchewan. Reporting to the process supervisor, your role will focus on ensuring safe and effective operation of Cigar Lake’s process areas.
In This
Role, You Will Operate and monitor circuit processes. Ensure safe and well-maintained areas of operation as outlined in Cameco’s safety standards.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve/report any maintenance concerns for continual improvements. Prepare equipment for maintenance.
Assist senior operators as required. Required grade 12 diploma or equivalent;
three to four years of relevant work experience, preferably in the uranium industry; equivalent combination of education and work experience considered;
valid Class 5 driver’s license;
strong team player with organizational skills; comfortable working both on surface and underground; and work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft. Recommended previous underground experience; and level 1 and 2 potable water operator certifications and level 1 wastewater treatment certification.
