Messaging and Collaboration Administrator - IntermediateTeam: Integrated AFNET Operations & Services (IAFNOS 2)Location: Langley AFB, VACommitment: Full-timeWorkplace Type: onsiteA successful Messaging and Collaboration Administrator candidate will have:A solid understanding of exchange services management in a hybrid on-prem and cloud environmentExperience with Mail Flow, Disaster Recovery, Managed Availability, Messaging Policies, Compliance, Configuring Reporting & Logging, Mailbox migrations both on prem and cloud, and a deep understanding ofSMTP.The ideal candidate will have:Experience with on-prem and cloud tools to include active directory, azure active directory, Cloud Exchange Admin Center (EAC), Microsoft Entra Identity, MFCMapi, MS Purview, M365 Defender, and PowerShell scripting and remedy ticketing system.A strong troubleshooting background with the ability to assist with troubleshooting complex problems and issues with little to no supervision.Strong mentorship skillsKey Tasks & ResponsibilitiesRelease of Electronically Stored Information (ESI) and Negligent Discharge of Classified Information (NDCI) information gathering and cleanupManaging user accounts in AD/Azure ADManaging Distribution lists and shared mailboxesTroubleshooting outlook and cloud mailbox issuesManaging mailbox cloud licensesProvide troubleshooting and policy documentation to base customersRemedy Incident, Work Order, Task, and Change request resolutionOperation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of O365 Cloud environmentWorking with Tier III and other Tier II support groupsWorking with Microsoft to troubleshoot system issuesAbility to use Active Directory and Exchange tools for troubleshootingUsing PowerShell cmdlets and scripts to manage ExchangeMicrosoft TEAMS supportSupport junior technicians and mentor them professionallyEducation & ExperienceRequires a bachelor's degree or equivalent, and 2 - 4 years of related experienceDesired experience:Microsoft 365 Admin Center, Microsoft Entra Identity, Exchange Admin Center, MS 365 Defender, andMS PurviewAccount management using Active directory on-prem and Azure cloud environmentsTroubleshooting exchange servers and cloud exchange environments to include mail flow, outlook, mailbox licensing, teams, one drive, and mailbox configuration and compliance o Microsoft TEAMS o Microsoft Windows Server 2016/2019/2022CertificationsRequiredSecurity+, or other qualifying IAT II certification.Microsoft 365 Administrator MS-102 certification within 120 days.Desired CertificationsMicrosoft 365: Messaging Administrator AssociateMicrosoft 365: Administrator (MS-102)Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate, AZ-104Security Clearance Active Secret ClearanceOther (Travel, Work Environment, DoD 8570 Requirements, Administrative Notes, etc.)The primary shift for this position is Monday – Friday between the hours of 0700 – 1700.Certification requirements are subject to change at the government's direction.
