Job Description

Calian is seeking a Contract Recruiter to support high‑volume hiring across Allied Health and regulated health professional roles. This is a hands‑on recruiting role focused on sourcing, screening, and managing candidate pipelines within a structured, fast‑moving program environment.

You’ll work directly with candidates to assess qualifications, experience, and role fit, while ensuring an efficient and positive candidate experience throughout the early stages of the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct high-volume candidate sourcing using LinkedIn Recruiter and other approved channels
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines aligned to defined role profiles and intake priorities
  • Review resumes and conduct initial candidate screening against established eligibility and skill criteria
  • Engage with candidates to understand their backgrounds, strengths, and career interests
  • Provide clear guidance to candidates on role suitability, expectations, and next steps within the program
  • Execute structured candidate outreach and follow-up activities
  • Maintain accurate, real-time candidate data in tracking tools and systems
  • Update candidate status, notes, and handoff indicators in accordance with program standards
  • Work toward defined sourcing, screening, and pipeline targets, with performance tracked through program metrics
  • Use Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, and OneDrive to manage trackers, documentation, and shared materials
  • Adhere to defined recruitment processes, templates, and governance
  • Follow privacy, confidentiality, and information-handling requirements
  • Escalate issues, risks, or capacity constraints as required

Qualifications

  • Experience in high-volume recruitment or talent sourcing
  • Previous experience recruiting Allied Health or regulated health professionals (e.g., clinical, applied health, or credentialed roles)
  • Hands-on experience using LinkedIn Recruiter
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Clear, inclusive written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a structured, metrics-driven environment
  • Experience level may range from early-career to intermediate, with responsibilities aligned accordingly
  • Must be eligible to obtain Reliability (Level I) clearance with the Government of Canada
  • Willingness and ability to travel within Canada on an occasional, as-needed basis
  • Familiarity with or interest in the Canadian Armed Forces and related career pathways is considered an asset
