Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Lead Line Cook & Server role based in McLean, VA. The Lead Line Cook portion of the role includes preparing and cooking menu items to restaurant standards, coordinating timing with the kitchen team, maintaining a clean and organized workstation, and ensuring consistent food quality and presentation. You will assist with prep work, manage ticket flow during busy periods, follow food safety and sanitation procedures, and support menu changes or specials as needed. The Server portion of the role involves greeting guests, presenting menus, taking and entering orders accurately, serving food and beverages, and monitoring guest satisfaction throughout the meal. You will also handle payment processing, collaborate closely with kitchen staff for smooth service, and help with opening, closing, and side work to keep the dining room clean and ready for service.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience as a line cook in a full-service restaurant, with solid skills in food preparation, cooking, and plating.
• Ability to manage multiple tickets, coordinate with the kitchen team, and maintain quality under time pressure.
• Proven front-of-house experience as a server, including guest greeting, order taking, and accurate delivery of food and beverages.
• Strong customer service skills, with a focus on hospitality, professionalism, and clear, courteous communication.
• Knowledge of basic food safety, sanitation, and kitchen cleanliness standards, and willingness to follow all health regulations.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry items as needed, and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working in a small, team-oriented environment where collaboration is essential.
• Previous experience with European, French, or Continental cuisine is a plus; formal culinary training is beneficial but not required.
• Eligibility to work in the United States and fluency in spoken English; additional language skills are a plus.
