About This Role
Data Integrity Specialist - Civil Business Intelligence
At CAE we understand that data is the key to success in today's competitive world. We are looking for a Data Integrity Specialist to join the Civil Business Intelligence team to help us ensure the accuracy and completeness of data across the CAE Civil Aviation organization. The ideal candidate will have experience working with data in a business setting as well as demonstrating attention to detail and having a strong desire for things to be ‘right'. The successful candidate will work well both independently and as a member of a team collaborating on identification of data issues and solutions.
Responsibilities
- Be an active member of project teams where data integrity is an important element of the project's success. This could involve running analysis to identify data integrity issues and the scale of those issues. It could also involve developing plans to address those issues at the data and process level.
- Perform process analysis of data integrity areas of concern and make recommendations that improve business efficiency and drive data improvements.
- Create and modify processes in collaboration with business SMEs across the organization; educate and gain buy-in from key stakeholders for these improvements.
- Create and monitor data integrity scores to measure effectiveness of improvements.
- In conducting day-to-day data tasks, identify systemic issues that need to be addressed either with system changes or new/adjusted business processes.
- Partner with Business Units and IT Teams for completing data correction actions, eg. merging accounts, correcting territory alignment, bulk uploads to Salesforce.
- Follow data management processes when working with data correction actions to align with IT requirements.
- Identify and recommend process and system changes in collaboration with other departments for the prevention of data quality issues.
- Perform outreach within the organization to identify current data needs and limitations and make recommendations for changes or improvements to be implemented.
- Craft and deliver presentations, to both project teams and leadership, on project statuses, key initiatives, and change approvals.
- Escalate non-compliance issues to the Data Integrity Group Leader.
- Prioritize actions appropriately with the guidance of the Data Integrity Group Leader.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, and an aptitude for other IT Tools
- Strong analytical stills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to an agile environment are essential to success in this role
- Ability to draw meaningful insights from datasets
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with customer relationship management databases, eg. SalesForce
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with PowerBI
- Knowledge of CAE Customer operations highly desired, eg. Accounts, reservations, check-in.
