Duties

• Manage and monitor enterprise systems including operating systems such as Linux, Windows, and VMware ESXi to ensure optimal performance and availability.
• Design, implement, and maintain system architecture solutions utilizing cloud platforms like AWS and Azure, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery capabilities.
• Develop automation scripts using Bash, Python, Shell Scripting, and other tools to streamline system administration tasks and improve operational efficiency.
• Configure and manage network infrastructure components including DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, load balancers, and computer networking protocols to ensure secure connectivity across the organization.
• Oversee virtualization environments using VMware vSphere (ESXi), Kubernetes, and other container orchestration platforms to support microservices architectures.
• Implement DevOps practices with tools such as Jenkins, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization technologies to accelerate deployment cycles.
• Maintain database systems including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, ensuring data integrity, security, and performance tuning.
• Monitor system security using information security best practices; manage firewalls, VPNs, encryption protocols, and access controls to safeguard organizational data.
• Collaborate with solution architects to design scalable IT infrastructure solutions aligned with service-oriented architecture (SOA) principles.
• Support system upgrades, patch management, troubleshooting incidents promptly while adhering to SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; advanced certifications are a plus.
• Proven experience in system administration across multiple operating systems including Linux and Windows environments.
• Strong knowledge of RAID controllers for storage management and system hardware configuration.
• Hands-on experience with cloud services such as AWS or Azure for deploying scalable solutions.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies like VMware ESXi and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in scripting languages including Bash (Unix shell), Python, PowerShell for automation tasks.
• Deep understanding of network protocols including DNS, DHCP, REST APIs, TCP/IP; experience configuring firewalls and VPNs for secure communications.
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases like Cassandra or MongoDB is desirable; experience with SQL databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL is essential.
• Experience working within Agile development environments utilizing tools like Jenkins for CI/CD workflows.
• Strong grasp of information security principles including firewall management, encryption standards, and access controls.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex system issues quickly while maintaining documentation according to best practices in SDLC. Pay: $84,036.95 - $101,205.78 per year
