Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Import/Export Customer Service Specialist to join our global logistics team with Mimiumn of 2 years in freight forwarding business. In this role, you will be the vital link between our company and international partners, ensuring seamless coordination of import and export operations. Your expertise in supply chain management, transportation planning, and customer relationship management will drive efficiency and foster strong partnerships. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of international trade, managing complex logistics processes while delivering exceptional service to our clients and carriers worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end import and export processes, including documentation, customs clearance, and compliance with FDA regulations.
  • Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, 3PL providers, NVOCCs (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carriers), and other logistics partners to ensure timely shipments.
  • Utilize transportation management systems (TMS), EDI (Electronic Data Interchange), and CRM software to track shipments, update statuses, and maintain accurate data entry records.
  • Negotiate rates, contracts, and service terms with carriers and freight providers to optimize transportation costs and service levels.
  • Provide exceptional inside sales support by generating leads, managing accounts, and developing B2B relationships to expand logistics sales opportunities.
  • Oversee dispatching activities, transportation planning, and carrier sales efforts to ensure efficient freight movement.
  • Monitor supply chain performance metrics, analyze data for continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations including FDA standards.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in supply chain management, transportation management systems (TMS), or logistics sales.
  • Strong understanding of freight forwarding, 3PL services, NVOCC operations, and transportation planning.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a focus on carrier sales, contracts, and pricing strategies.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (such as Salesforce), EDI platforms, AS400 systems, and data entry accuracy is essential.
  • Knowledge of FDA regulations related to import/export activities is highly desirable.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $4,500.00 - $4,800.00 per month
