IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC).

Duties

• You provide create and update cybersecurity policies and procedures to comply with Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements.
• You will conduct risk assessments to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
• You will ensure development and maintenance of system certification and accreditation documentation according to DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF).
• You will review and analyze changes in security regulations for impact to the program and its operational practices.
• You will provide recommendations on and develop program security policies, standards, and guidelines.
• You will serve as the Command Information Systems Security Manager and cybersecurity advisor to the Chief Information Security Officer.

• This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 722, proficiency level INTERMEDIATE the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

• Making decisions or recommendations significantly changing, interpreting, or developing important policies and programs.
• Applying system security certification and accreditation requirements and processes and providing expert advice within the command on design, configuration and implementation of advanced computer networking.
• Applying knowledge of skills such as, interrelationships of multiple IT specialties, emerging technologies and their applications to business processes, project management principles, estimating resource requirements, and more.
