Product Trainer

Mississauga, ON, Full-time

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities

Primarily responsible for the development, coordination, and implementation of product training within the region to key business partners and internal employees. This role as a part of the national product training team will assist in delivering product messaging and training programs in alignment with business objectives. Product trainers assist in the creation and expansion of new and existing training materials and curriculum delivery. Required to manage, plan and assist with learning initiatives and administrative tasks within the department. Product Trainers are additionally required to maintain working knowledge consisting of market trends, learning tools, educational strategies, and competitive product information for application to shaping training engagement.

  • Provide training and support to the national and regional retailers and additional distributor markets in field, or at BSH showroom location as required.
  • Facilitate trainings with the integration of technical and competitive knowledge, integrating the appropriate brand guidelines.
  • Promote learning, development and knowledge retention in relationship to each BSH brand
  • Deliver training sessions integrating the appropriate brand context and marketing guidelines
  • Execute virtual trainings as needed and participate in the creation of on demand learning resources and demonstrations.
  • Conduct training sessions for specifier and builder communities in support of business development.
  • Provide training support at local showrooms, when not travelling in the territory, related to consultations, associate training, and events.
  • Contribute to product curriculum development as requested, in necessary formats supporting current and future learning management systems (LMS), reporting and new product integrations.
  • Provide field insights and training intelligence for future product and program development.
  • Maintain an active calendar of training events responsive to distributor needs.
  • Complete a detailed training tracker utilizing department tracking tools and convey participant summary for all trainings performed, supporting system tool analytics and reporting for all team activities.
  • Ensure that all training content reflects BSH best practices and is accurate for relevant use.
  • Participate in functional team and broader organizational meetings.
  • Identify and engage in continued learning activities, that maintain subject matter competence for all BSH products and services.
  • Develop and produce product information packages and marketing materials to support training functions.
  • Support regional trade and consumer shows, and BSH operations as requested.
  • Capable of delivering and creating brief culinary demonstrations.

Your profile

  • Two-Year College (Related Field) – Required
  • Two-Year College (Related Field) – Preferred
  • CTP or CTDP Certification - Preferred
  • 3 - 5 Years of Experience (Household appliance industry) – Required
  • 0 - 2 Years of Experience (Adult Learning Principles) – Required
  • 0 - 2 Years of Experience (Learning Management Systems) – Required
  • Travel Percentage – 75%
  • Must have excellent knowledge of appliance and competitive brands.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional presentation skills
  • Effective communications skills (both written and oral), bilingual in Quebec Region
  • Ability to work evenings and/or weekends if required
  • Capable of good judgment and discretion when working with confidential information
  • Must have a working knowledge of educational media, training platforms and media devices
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 suite
