Job Description

The position – Technical Support Specialist, Commercial Lines

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our growing team! The ideal candidate would have a minimum of five years’ experience working in the insurance industry and has a passion for delivering extraordinary service.

Key responsibilities: To provide administrative and technical support to account managers/executives in compliance with current protocols. To assist in achieving the end result of providing prompt, efficient service to our clients.

Duties

  • Prompt handling of Confirmation of Insurance and Certificates of Insurance
  • Renewal Certificate Word Merge management, taking initiative on commercial renewals and transportation on request
  • Claims Handling: open and closing notices, summaries, updates in Sig, large loss notification
  • Renewal Assistance for Account Managers, Checklist scanning, Coverage Summaries
  • Suspense management support for proper documentation
  • Renewal and endorsement processing & invoicing per completed processing checklists
  • Preparation of statement of values
  • Preparation/updating of Equipment, Vehicle and Driver Lists for renewals
  • Preparation of IFTA Summaries on request
  • Preparation of Policy and/or Presentation Binders
  • Ordering and processing Driver Abstracts and CVOR 2 Reports online/MTO office
  • Scanning and saving documents, with proper scan codes in EPIC
  • Work closely with Account Managers to assist with various tasks
  • Manage suspense on a daily basis

  • Good computer skills, MS Word, Excel & Outlook
  • Good understanding of and adherence to internal protocols and procedures
  • Attention to detail imperative to eliminate any errors & omissions
  • Creative mindset

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in the insurance industry
  • Applied EPIC experience an asset
  • CIP or CAIB designation or working toward this designation an asset
  • RIBO license an asset
