Brown and Caldwell is excited to invite a Senior Project Manager to join our dynamic team. This full-time position offers the chance to excel in project delivery and client service for a range of innovative projects, including the planning, evaluating, designing, permitting, and construction support for Drinking Water, Wastewater, and Water Resources. Key projects involve wastewater treatment plants, drinking water plants, biosolids management, pumping stations, pipelines, stormwater systems, and compliance with MS4 regulations, primarily for municipal clients.
As a qualified Civil, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineer with a PE license, you will collaborate with leadership in our Northeast Area, playing a pivotal role in our growth strategy while providing oversight and mentorship within water, wastewater, and stormwater projects.
This position is remote, but candidates must reside in New England, with regular travel (~25%) to client sites in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Set clear objectives and direction while facilitating decision-making, budgets, and schedules. Establish effective communication methods for technical discussions and client interactions, empowering team members while resolving conflicts and promoting success.
- Project Execution: Collaborate in defining project scopes, schedules, and budgets. Ensure quality management through monitoring plans and processes that build client trust. Manage changes and risks efficiently throughout project lifecycles.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and report on project goals related to scope, schedule, budget, and quality. Conduct routine profitability analyses and oversee project invoicing.
- Client Engagement: Build and maintain successful relationships with clients, ensuring their success factors are met and enhancing satisfaction through proactive communication and collaboration.
Required Qualifications:
- BS in Civil, Environmental, or a related field.
- 12+ years of experience in project management for water-related engineering projects.
- Strong project leadership and management capabilities.
- Proficient in standard Microsoft Office tools and MS Project for schedule development and management.
- Willingness to travel throughout New England approximately 25% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
- MS or MBA in a relevant field.
- PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- PMP certification from PMI.
- Previous supervisory or mentoring experience is advantageous.
Compensation: The anticipated starting salary will vary by location and is based on skills and experience:
- Location A: $118,000 - $161,000
- Location B: $130,000 - $177,000
- Location C: $142,000 - $194,000
