Job Description
π Bengaluru | π’ Work from Office | π 6 days a week Do you want to stand beside people when no one else will? Join the Broseph Foundation, led by St. Broseph (Dushyant Dubey) β known for fearless, ground-level work in criminal justice, civic advocacy, human rights, legal aid, and rescue operations across Bengaluru. We don't wait for change. We go where the problem is. What You'll Do Be the firstΒ point of contact for individuals and families in distress β criminal cases, civic issues, human rights violations, and emergency situations. Receive RTI requests from community members, help draft and file applications, track responses, and assist with first and second appeals. Assist with drafting legal notices, affidavits, and applications; accompany and support beneficiaries at courts, police stations, and government offices. Maintain detailed case files, track case progress, and prepare monthly reports on legal aid cases handled. Connect individuals in need to mental health professionals, counsellors, and support groups. Follow up to ensure they're actually getting help. Coordinate shelter support for homeless individuals and families β assess need, liaise with government shelters and partner organisations, and do follow-up visits. Work on community programs: teaching underprivileged children through Broseph Shikshana Vedike, clothing drives, city cleanups through Namma Walls, and civic issue resolution on the ground. Participate in Fix India Movement campaigns β document civic issues, engage with local government bodies, and follow up until things get fixed. Conduct legal awareness and RTI awareness workshops for citizens and community groups. Refer cases that are beyond scope to partner lawyers and legal aid organisations, and maintain those relationships. What We're Looking For Passionate, fearless, and empathetic β someone who genuinely cares about people, not just about completing tasks. Strong communication in Kannada and English β you'll be talking to distressed individuals, government officials, lawyers, and volunteers, often on the same day. Willingness to be in the field β courts, police stations, government offices, community sites. This is not a desk job. Ability to hold a lot at once β you may be handling multiple cases, a community program, and a crisis inquiry on the same day. Calm under pressure matters. Someone who can write clearly β case notes, RTI applications, follow-up letters, and reports need to be accurate and well-documented. Prior experience in social work, legal aid, paralegal work, community outreach, or mental health support is a strong advantage. A background in Psychology, Social Work, Law, or Public Policy is a plus β but passion and commitment matter most. Respect for confidentiality and sensitivity when handling cases involving trauma, abuse, or legal jeopardy. Why Join Us? Be part of Bengaluru's most active grassroots social work movement β working on real cases with real consequences for real people. Hands-on impact, every single day. You will see the difference you make. Work directly with victims, communities, government systems, lawyers, mental health professionals, and volunteers. Be part of a team that runs multiple programs simultaneously β legal aid, education, shelter, civic advocacy, community art, mental health, and more. You will grow fast here. Grow with a mission-driven organisation that puts people before comfort β and will expect the same from you. π₯ This is not just a job β it's a calling. If you're looking for a comfortable routine, this isn't it. If you're looking for work that matters, we're waiting for you.
