Outpatient Behavioral Health Counselor

Responsibilities

• Conduct client assessments, including intake interviews and diagnostic evaluations .
• Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions.
• Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure client safety and well-being during acute episodes.
• Maintain detailed medical records and documentation of patient care activities using appropriate medical terminology for billing purposes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, case managers, medical professionals, and educators to coordinate comprehensive care plans.
• Qualifications
• Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field from an accredited institution or ADT certification.
• Valid licensure or certification as required by state law for behavioral health professionals; additional certifications in addiction counseling or Christian counseling are a plus.
• Proven experience working with children, adolescents, adults, in outpatient settings; clinic experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to conduct intake assessments and patient evaluations effectively.

Pay: $57,287.25 - $68,991.10 per year
