Job Description
Position OverviewWorldFest Canada is seeking an Entertainment Coordinator to lead performer sourcing, booking, and coordination for our annual multicultural fusion festival.
This role is responsible for identifying strong performer groups (bands & dance groups) and MCs, managing communication from onboarding to event execution, and ensuring smooth entertainment flow throughout the festival.
Key ResponsibilitiesTalent Sourcing & Booking
- Identify and reach out to performers, cultural groups, and MCs
- Evaluate talent suitability for the WorldFest audience
- Present offers and secure performer confirmations
- Maintain organized booking records and agreements
Performer Coordination
- Manage onboarding (contracts, schedules, technical requirements)
- Coordinate stage timing, performance flow, and communication
- Maintain consistent follow-ups leading up to the event
- Handle performer offboarding and post-event communication
Event Execution
- Be present on-site during the event
- Coordinate stage schedules and manage timing
- Support MCs and performers with logistics
- Troubleshoot real-time performance issues
Requirements
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable reaching out to talent and negotiating performance terms
- Highly organized with strong time management
- Able to work in a fast-paced live event environment
- Must be available in person on July 11–12, 2026 (mandatory event dates)
Assets (Strong Advantage)
- Previous experience in event entertainment coordination or talent booking
- Background in performing arts, production, or live events
- Access to a vehicle (preferred for in-person meetings and site visits)
- Existing network of performers or MCs in the GTA
Eligibility Requirement (Funding-Based)
- Must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident
