SAP SD Business Analyst (Cross-Functional - MM/FI)

FREELANCE ASSIGNMENT

We are looking for an experienced SAP SD Business Analyst to join a global SAP programme on a long-term freelance contract. This role requires a strong SAP SD background combined with cross-functional knowledge across Materials Management (MM) and Finance (FI), ideally within pharmaceutical or medical technology (MedTech) environments.

You will act as the key link between business stakeholders and IT, ensuring that end-to-end processes across Order-to-Cash (O2C), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), and financial integration are effectively designed, implemented, and optimised.

This is a fully remote role, operating in Central European Time (CET) hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with business stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document requirements across SAP SD, MM, and FI processes
• Translate business needs into functional specifications and support solution design
• Lead and facilitate workshops, including fit-gap analysis and process alignment sessions
• Support end-to-end process design across O2C, P2P, and financial integration
• Work closely with technical teams to ensure successful delivery of solutions
• Support configuration validation, testing (SIT/UAT), and defect resolution
• Assist with data migration activities and ensure data integrity across modules
• Contribute to cutover planning, go-live support, and hypercare activities
• Ensure documentation is maintained in line with project standards (eg Solution Manager, JIRA)

Your Profile SAP Expertise

• Strong experience in SAP SD (Sales & Distribution)
• Good cross-functional knowledge of:
• SAP MM (Materials Management)
• SAP FI (Finance - AR/AP integration)

Functional Knowledge

• Solid understanding of:
• Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes
• Integration points between SD, MM, and FI
• Pricing, billing, and invoicing processes

Experience

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst within SAP programmes
• Experience working on implementations, rollouts, or transformation projects
• Experience within Pharma or MedTech environments is highly desirable/preferred
• Familiarity with S/4HANA environments is preferred
