Data Insights & Reporting Engineer

As a BI & Automation Analyst at our company, you will be responsible for leveraging your expertise in business intelligence, Python-based automation, and financial processes to enhance data solutions, provide actionable insights, and offer support to finance and business teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain BI dashboards and reports utilizing tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
• Create and manage Python-based automation for data ingestion, transformation, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Collaborate closely with the Accounting and Finance teams to comprehend financial workflows, reporting needs, and controls.
• Automate recurring financial and operational reports to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Conduct data validation, reconciliation, and anomaly detection to uphold data integrity.
• Assist in the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting processes.
• Document automation workflows, BI logic, and data definitions.
• Engage with data engineering and business stakeholders to improve data models and reporting solutions.

Required Qualifications:

• 35 years of experience in BI, analytics, or data automation roles.
• Proficiency in Python (pandas, numpy, scripting, scheduling jobs).
• Hands-on experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or equivalent.
• Sound knowledge of accounting concepts including GL, P&L, balance sheet, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Familiarity with SQL, relational databases, and Snowflake.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills with technical and finance stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in automating finance or accounting workflows.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, GCP.
• Exposure to data pipelines, APIs, or ETL tools.
• Knowledge of audit, compliance, or financial controls would be beneficial.
