Department : Venture Development & Ecosystem Management

Reporting To : Director B-Capital

Location : On-site, Hyderabad (Complete Work from Office)

Working Hours : Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Core Objective

Support in building the investment thesis, sourcing, evaluation, and portfolio management of startups, clear documentation within Bower Capital, ensuring strong cohort formation, founder selection, structured tracking, founder outcomes, market access, expert and mentor connect and investor readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Deal Sourcing & Pipeline

• Build and manage startup pipeline (applications, referrals, inbound)
• Support call-for-applications design and outreach
• Maintain a structured database of startups across stages and sectors

2. Investment Evaluation

• Conduct primary screening (problem, market, founder, traction)
• Build investment memos and founder summaries
• Support IC preparation (data, insights, comparisons)
• Assist in diligence (market research, competitor analysis)

3. Portfolio Management

• Track startup progress against defined KPIs and milestones
• Maintain founder dashboards and portfolio reports
• Document founder journey, risks, and key updates
• Support monthly/quarterly portfolio reviews

4. Founder Support (Execution Layer)

• Coordinate and conduct 1:1 office hours and follow-ups
• Track action items and ensure execution discipline
• Support founders with research, GTM inputs, and benchmarking

5. Investor Relations Support

• Maintain investor database and communication tracker
• Support investor updates, decks, and reporting
• Assist in preparing startups for investor conversations

6. Ecosystem & Research

• Track market trends, sectors, and emerging opportunities
• Map relevant mentors, partners, and service providers
• Support ecosystem insights for better investment decisions

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 2-5 years experience in VC, incubator, startup, consulting, or research
• Strong analytical thinking (market, business models, numbers)
• Ability to structure ambiguous information quickly
• High ownership, speed, and attention to detail
• Strong written communication (memos, summaries)
• Experience with early-stage or growth-stage startups
• Understanding of venture capital and startup lifecycle
• Exposure to founder ecosystems or accelerators
