Job Description

Role: Senior Full Stack Integration Engineer

Residence Requirement: US Citizenship or Lawful Permanent Residence is required

Location: Hybrid with on-site support at government facility in Lanham, MD.

What You’ll Do

As a Senior Full Stack Integration Engineer at BoulevardLabs, you’ll help modernize and sustain enterprise integration capabilities supporting critical infrastructure services in support of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). You’ll work across backend services, frontend interfaces, APIs, messaging platforms, and containerized environments to improve reliability, scalability, and security. This role spans both operations and modernization: you’ll support day-to-day platform health, incident triage, vulnerability remediation, and deployment automation while also helping migrate legacy webMethods-based integrations into a cloud-native microservices architecture

You’ll design and enhance integration services built with Java, Spring, and React; support messaging technologies such as AMQ, IBM MQ, and Kafka; implement CI/CD automation; and strengthen observability, security, and operational resilience across the platform. You’ll also contribute to technical documentation, integration planning, performance tuning, and knowledge transfer to ensure continuity of operations in a highly visible enterprise environment.

Who You’ll Work With

You’ll work alongside BoulevardLabs engineers and government stakeholders supporting Infrastructure Services, collaborating closely with enterprise platform teams, systems administrators, database administrators, storage and server provisioning teams, and internal and external delivery partners. This role requires frequent coordination across technical and business stakeholders to support implementation, interoperability, modernization planning, and operational continuity.

You should bring strong Java/Spring and React development experience, hands-on expertise with containerized microservices, messaging systems, and CI/CD automation, and a practical understanding of secure, enterprise-grade application delivery. The ideal candidate is comfortable troubleshooting live issues, improving system performance, modernizing legacy integrations, and documenting and communicating technical work in a structured, client-facing environment.
