The Commercial Ducted Product Area Lead is responsible for leading the and segment across the AME region, with full accountability for business performance, product strategy, and cross-functional execution. This role oversees a multi-disciplinary team spanning engineering, product management, and project management, driving profitable growth, portfolio optimization, and operational excellence. The position serves as a critical link between product development, procurement strategy, and market execution, ensuring alignment with customer needs, regulatory requirements, and global platform standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Commercial Ducted Product segment with full P&L accountability, driving revenue growth, profitability, and market competitiveness
- Manage end-to-end product lifecycle, ensuring quality, safety, and regulatory compliance across product lines
- Develop and execute portfolio and sourcing strategies balancing cost, innovation, and localization
- Align global platforms with regional market requirements, optimizing scalability and cost efficiency
- Partner cross-functionally with engineering, procurement, manufacturing, sales, and marketing teams to deliver business objectives
- Drive agile transformation initiatives to improve speed, collaboration, and delivery performance
- Translate market insights and customer needs into actionable product and sourcing strategies
- Lead, develop, and coach a multi-layered, cross-regional team to build a high-performance organization
- Oversee resource allocation, pricing inputs, and roadmap prioritization with a high degree of autonomy
- Support innovation in system architecture, sustainability, and energy efficiency initiatives
- Ensure effective stakeholder communication across North America and global teams
- Plays a key role in transforming the Commercial Ducted operations toward a fully product-oriented and customer-driven organization
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in HVAC, manufacturing, consumer products, or a related industry
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing cross-functional teams
- Experience in product lifecycle management, sourcing, or purchasing engineering
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (MBA or master’s in engineering or supply chain)
- Demonstrated financial acumen, including P&L ownership, cost management, and investment planning
- Experience working with global platforms and regional market adaptation
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in HVAC or similar industries
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive strategic initiatives
- Experience with agile methodologies and transformation initiatives
- Familiarity with Commercial Ducted applications and certification processes
- Experience working in multinational, cross-cultural environments
