Job Number: R0238408 AWS Geospatial Software Engineer The Opportunity: As an AWS Geospatial Sof tware Engineer, you can resolve a problem with a complete end-to-end geospatial solution in a fast, agile environment. The position expects familiarity with geospatial data processing and develop ment of spatial algorithms at scale. This role is more than just coding. As a sof tware engineer at Booz Allen, you'll use your passion to master new tools and techniques and identify needed system improvements.

You'll help clients overcome their most difficult challenges using the latest architectural approaches, tools, and technologies. You'll make sure the solution develop ed by the team considers the architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements. You Have

5+ years of experience in software with a cloud first develop ment approach

5+ years of experience with back-end develop ment, including with back-end languages such as Java, Python, GO, or C++, and front-end languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, or CSS

3+ years of experience with enterprise application develop ment focused on geospatial data processing and spatial algorithm develop ment

3+ years of experience with AWS services and cloud-native architecture patterns, including ECS / EKS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, EC2, RDS, DynamoDB, IAM policies , security groups, and network security

3+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code, including AWS CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormation

Experience working with containerization, including Docker, Kubernetes, or ECS / EKS, and container orchestration

Experience develop ing and deploying production geospatial applications from concept to O & M

TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph Bachelor's degree Nice If You Have:

Experience with Authority to Operate ( ATO ) processes and security documentation

Experience with database administration and optimization, including RDS, DynamoDB, or MongoDB

Experience with serverless architecture such as Lambda and API Gateway

Experience leading technical initiatives in large-scale environments

Experience with system design, with focus on scalability and reliability

Experience develop ing Geospatial UIs, implementing DevOps mechanisms for projects, and designing and implementing UI for artifi cia l intelligence or machine learning applications

Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements

AWS Certification s such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Develop er Certification s

IAT Level II+ Certification such as Security+ or CISSP Certification s Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information ; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
