Perform managerial responsibilities and recommend related actions (for example: hiring, disciplinary actions, performance management, training and certifications, work assignments, vacation scheduling, monitoring attendance). Manage a group of 10+ employees responsible for purchasing, managing the delivery flow of parts, addressing part non-conformities and supplier payment roadblocks. Manage proactive communication to the Director and other staff in the completion group. Manage workflow and provide leadership to ensure customer satisfaction. Identify reasons for process or workflow inefficiencies and develop strategies to overcome issues. Ensure the development and delivery of training within the functional group. Develop and maintain KPIs related to purchasing performance and the team's ability to stock the right parts, in the right place, at the right time. Manage the development of tools to increase efficiencies across the team. Lead the team to achieve functional targets, support continuous improvement initiatives and yearly or ad hoc objectives. Promote, mentor and develop supervisory employees in the group. Be accountable for understanding and implementing corrective action plans for complex KPIs. Monitor and ensure proper escalation of any material-related delivery issues to cross-functional leaders (Logistics/Supply Chain) that could impact timely aircraft release, and discuss solutions/actions. Liaise with multidisciplinary teams (Logistics, Supply Chain, Methods, Plant Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and Quality) to resolve delivery and component discrepancy issues. Actively lead and implement BOE (Bombardier Operational Excellence) within the area of responsibility in line with Bombardier's strategic vision. How to thrive in this role? Hold a Bachelor's degree or College Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or Business, with a minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience in purchasing, customer service or inventory management, including at least two (2) years in management. Possess excellent leadership skills, strong ambition and desire to succeed, a strong professional ethic, and proven planning, prioritizing and organizational skills. Have strong coaching skills and the ability to motivate a team. Be proactive, results oriented and committed to continuous improvement. Have strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with a variety of individuals, departments, customers, vendors, and management. Demonstrate a strong interest in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles. Have computer skills to operate word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software and to build governance, reports and KPIs (including but not limited to MS Office suite, MS Outlook, SAP or other ERP/EWM systems). P possess planning and organizational skills to prioritize, assign and coordinate workloads across multiple projects. Have strong data analytics skills with the ability to lead complex analyses and provide guidance to analysts. Possess superior verbal, presentation and written communication skills. Be able to plan, organize, prioritize and handle multiple time-sensitive tasks in a demanding global environment. Demonstrate ability to be a team player, take initiative and be decisive. Ideally have prior experience with purchasing process improvement and continuous improvement in administrative functions. The base salary for this position is expected to range from CAD $98,500 to CAD $135,400 per year. The applicable base salary will be determined based on various criteria, at Bombardier's sole discretion, such as the candidate's skills, experience and qualifications. In some cases, the base salary offered may differ from the expected range of base salary listed above.
