Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Immigration Paralegal to support attorneys in handling U.S. immigration matters. This role involves preparing and filing petitions, maintaining case records, and ensuring compliance with federal immigration laws and regulations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, deadline-driven, and experienced in working with diverse client populations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and file employment-based and family-based immigration petitions and applications with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), Department of Labor (DOL), and Department of State (DOS)
- Draft support letters and assemble forms such as I-130, I-140, I-485, I-765, I-129, PERM applications, and DS-260/DS-160
- Monitor case progress, track priority dates, and manage deadlines using case management systems
- Communicate with clients regarding documentation requirements, timelines, and case updates
- Respond to Requests for Evidence (RFEs), Notices of Intent to Deny (NOIDs), and other agency correspondence
- Assist attorneys with preparation for interviews, consular processing, and adjustment of status cases
- Maintain accurate and organized case files in compliance with firm and regulatory standards
- Conduct legal and factual research on immigration laws and procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal certificate (ABA-approved program preferred)
- 1–5+ years of experience in U.S. immigration law
- Strong familiarity with USCIS, DOL (PERM), and DOS (consular processing) procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and robust organizational skills
- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload and meet strict deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and immigration case management software (e.g., INSZoom, LawLogix)
Preferred Skills
- Experience with employment-based visas (H-1B, L-1, O-1, PERM) and/or family-based immigration
- Knowledge of compliance requirements (e.g., I-9, E-Verify)
- Client-focused mindset with strong interpersonal skills
Working Conditions
- Office-based and hybrid depending on firm policy
- Occasional overtime during peak filing seasons (e.g., H-1B cap season)
Pay: From ₹25,000.00 per month
