Job Description
As a DevOps/SRE Engineer, you will be responsible for building and operating cloud-native platforms with a focus on Kubernetes, CI/CD integration, observability, and secure-by-default practices to enable reliable, high-velocity releases.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- **Platform Engineering (Kubernetes)**
- Operate production-grade Kubernetes clusters including node pools, upgrades, and backups
- Manage Ingress controllers, CNI, and basic service mesh setup
- Configure autoscaling, requests/limits, affinity/anti-affinity, and quotas
- Package and standardize deployments with Helm/Kustomize
- **CI/CD & GitOps**
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins
- Implement GitOps for environment reconciliation and progressive delivery
- Manage artifact repositories and build caching
- **Observability & SRE**
- Deploy and tune monitoring/logging/tracing tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Loki
- Define SLIs/SLOs, configure actionable alerts, and runbooks
- Lead incident response, post-incident reviews, and remediation
- **Security & Compliance**
- Manage IAM and least-privilege patterns, secrets management
- Enforce image scanning, policy checks, and Pod Security Standards
- Configure network policies, TLS, and certificate management
- **Cloud & IaC**
- Provision and manage cloud resources using Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Manage VPC/networking, load balancers, DNS/CDN, storage classes
- Track costs, capacity planning, and recommend right-sizing policies
- **Collaboration & Enablement**
- Create platform documentation, templates, and paved paths
- Partner with application teams to debug deployments and performance issues
- *Qualification Required:**
- B.Tech/B.E
This role requires skills in Kubernetes operations, CI/CD systems, GitOps, observability stacks, Infrastructure as Code, cloud experience, security practices, Docker, Linux, networking fundamentals, and scripting languages like Python. Familiarity with release strategies and rollback practices is also preferred.
