Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
• Monitor and observe patients’ health status, recording vital signs and reporting any changes to healthcare professionals
• Support medication administration in accordance with care plans and HIPAA privacy regulations
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal consumption to meet individual dietary needs
• Utilize specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts and resident’s lifts to ensure safe transfers and mobility assistance
• Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols
• Document care activities accurately in compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards

Experience

• Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care environments preferred
• Demonstrated ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia (including Alzheimer’s) or memory care needs
• Knowledge of patient observation techniques, vital signs monitoring, and basic nursing skills such as CPR and first aid certification required or obtainable upon hire
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality in patient care settings
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when assisting residents with mobility or transfers using appropriate equipment
• Previous roles involving hospice care or working with individuals with disabilities will be considered advantageous
