This role sits withinPreqin, a part of BlackRock.Preqinplays a key role in how we are revolutionizing private markets data and technology for clients globally, complementing our existing Aladdin technology platform to deliver investment solutions for the whole portfolio.

Team

Business Integrity teamwithin the broader treasurydepartmentis a group of dedicated professionals who are essential to theTreasury operationsby ensuring that allPrivate Equitycash data is accurately settled and reconciledfor processesincluding accounting, client reporting, analytics, compliance, and regulatory.We provide information services and solutions in supporting this business. The roles and responsibilities will include actively handling risk and exposure for BlackRock by ensuring theledgerbook of record is reconciled with the custodian dailyandactas a control function.Given the critical nature of cash management, it is essential to maintain comprehensive visibility over all transactions to ensure that obligations to clients and their investors are consistently met.The role requires an understanding of the mechanics of the reconciliation process, exception management, troubleshooting issues, driving innovative enhancements, data analysis,maintainingdocumentation,assistingmanagement in leading processes, and recommending improvements to ensure efficient andaccurateprocesses.

KeyResponsibilities:

  • Completing day-to-day assigned tasks; including control reports, cash break resolution,inboxand dashboard monitoring
  • Providing high quality client service externally and internally. Address inquiries, perform controls, resolve problems, and mitigate risks for clients and internal BlackRock partners
  • Preparing bank reconciliations acrossmultiple accounts for various clients.
  • Investigate reconciliation breaks and coordinate with relevant business units to resolve issues; escalate outstanding non-payments orreceiptsas necessary.
  • Address inquiriesfrom internal & external teams, perform controls, resolve problems, and mitigate risks for clients and internal BlackRockteams.
  • Participate in various efficiency initiatives, including automation/ standardization efforts
  • Build andmaintainstrong relationships with internal stakeholders across Alternatives Client Services& Reporting, Fund Accounting,Insight and Treasury teams.
  • Support audits by providing required evidence of control.
  • Activelyparticipatein weeklycontrolsmeetings and highlight risk items.
  • Accurately capture Treasury MIS data and communicate any concerns as needed.

  • Attention to detail to ensure a high degree of accuracy for all deliverables.
  • Ability to take the initiative to follow up on issues –identifywhat needs to be done andwork withleadershipteam to resolve those.

  • Have interpersonal skills to effectively articulate solutions to internal and external partners.

Qualification & Knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably with a concentration in Accounting, Finance, Business,Economicsor similar field
  • 1-2 years of experience inoperations,reconciliation,accountingor administrationwith a focus on alternative investment funds.
  • Understanding ofalternative investment productspreferablyPrivate Equity and its fund structures and interactions.
  • Proficient in MicrosoftOffice withemphasis onadvanced excel skillsand have theacumenfor learning new applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
