Project Overview: “Voltage-Assisted Aerobic Composting of Organic Waste with AI-Enabled Monitoring System” is a project under the Cross-Disciplinary Research Framework (CDRF) scheme of BITS Pilani. This project introduces an intelligent monitoring and prediction system that combines sensor analytics, image-derived metrics, and machine learning to evaluate and regulate the Voltage-Assisted Composting (VAC) process. VAC trials will employ embedded electrodes operating under controlled electro-oxidative conditions to accelerate the composting of lignocellulose-rich organic wastes.
Eligibility: Applications are invited from eligible and interested candidates with an ME/MTech in Biotechnology/Environmental Engineering/Civil Engineering/Chemical Engineering, or an equivalent degree with a minimum 60% aggregate marks or CGPA.
Desirable: Hands-on experience in aerobic composting/ AI & ML applications/ basic knowledge of electrical engineering/ electrolysis.
Number of positions: ONE for FOUR years
Fellowship: Rs. 37,000/ month
