Environmental Field Scientist

Field Application Scientist (FAS) Location: Mumbai/Hyderabad/Bengaluru (covering Pan India customer base)

Our client is seeking a Field Application Scientist (FAS) to provide expert-level training, support, and application optimization for their advanced range of instruments, including Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR), Flow Cytometers, Seahorse XF Analyzers, and Imaging & Multimode Microplate Readers (MMR) .

This role is ideal for professionals passionate about cutting-edge scientific instrumentation, cell-based assay development, and problem-solving , who enjoy working closely with researchers, scientists, and sales teams to drive innovation in life sciences and diagnostics.

Conduct on-site training and optimization for end-users and sales teams on advanced scientific instruments.

Provide scientific and technical support to customers, sales teams, and product management.

Develop expert-level proficiency in instrument software and stay updated on emerging assays.

Assist in data generation for Application Notes on new and emerging applications.

Represent our client at industry conferences, vendor shows, and scientific seminars.

Maintain detailed reports in CRM systems to track customer interactions, training sessions, and field activities.

Qualifications and Experience

in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Immunology, or a related life science field.

Experience

Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in an imaging core lab, flow cytometry, cell culture, or high-content screening (HCS) environment.

Prior experience in cell culture techniques (adherent and suspension cells) and cell-based assay development.

Exposure to immunology-based assays (ELISA, ELISpot, flow-based immunophenotyping, or cytokine analysis) is a strong plus.

Experience with fluorescence and luminescence-based assays ( TRF, FRET, AlphaScreen, FP, etc.).

Proficiency in image analysis software (ImageJ, CellProfiler, or similar).

Advanced computer and data analysis skills; experience in LIMS preferred.

Travel Requirements

Willingness to travel up to 50% for customer training and support.
