Job Description
As a Manager in the Legal department located at Azamabad (Near RTC Cross Roads), Hyderabad, your role will involve collaborating with the Vice President Legal to support strategic transactions and provide legal guidance across the organization. You will be responsible for various key tasks including:
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of agreements such as supply, distribution, licensing, joint ventures, procurement, R&D collaborations, and confidentiality agreements.
- Ensuring compliance with Indian pharmaceutical, biotech, and healthcare regulations such as the Drugs & Cosmetics Act, Companies Act, labor laws, and data protection.
- Managing disputes, regulatory investigations, and litigation in coordination with external counsel.
- Providing legal responses to notices, regulator communications, and compliance queries.
- Conducting legal research and offering expert advice on evolving laws and their business impact.
- Supporting M&A activities, strategic partnerships, and cross-border transactions.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders from procurement, R&D, sales, HR, and operations to structure legally sound business transactions.
Qualifications required for this role include:
- A Bachelor's degree in law (LL.B) from a recognized university.
- 5 to 7 years of post-qualification experience in a reputed law firm or in-house legal team, preferably in pharma, biotech, healthcare, or manufacturing sectors.
- Solid knowledge of commercial law, contracts, corporate governance, and pharma regulatory frameworks.
- Proven experience in handling complex agreements and regulatory compliance matters.
- Strong communication, drafting, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and provide practical solutions.
