Role Description The Ice Cream Artist is a full-time, on-site role based in Ontario, Canada. This role is responsible for preparing and serving ice cream creations, including cones, sundaes, dipped treats, milkshakes, and other specialty desserts according to brand recipes and presentation standards. The Ice Cream Artist greets guests, takes orders, answers menu questions, and provides friendly, efficient service at the counter and POS. Daily tasks include setting up the dessert station, restocking toppings and supplies, operating ice cream and dipping equipment, and maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in all work areas. The role also involves handling cash or electronic payments accurately, following food safety and hygiene procedures, assisting with opening and closing duties, and collaborating with the broader restaurant team during busy periods.
Qualifications
- Experience in customer service or hospitality, with the ability to communicate clearly, stay courteous under pressure, and create a welcoming guest experience.
- Basic food preparation and handling skills, including comfort working with ice cream machines, toppings, and dessert assembly, while following food safety and hygiene standards.
- Cash handling and point-of-sale (POS) experience, with attention to detail in processing orders, payments, and receipts accurately.
- Strong teamwork, time management, and multitasking abilities to work efficiently during peak hours and support colleagues as needed.
