Role Overview
We’re looking for a seasoned Senior Full Stack Engineer with 5–7 years of hands-on experience to join our engineering squad. You will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing a high-traffic hi-tech application used by thousands of users.
- Hybrid Mobile Expert: You will own the stability of the Capacitor bridge, ensuring that Angular web components function flawlessly as a native mobile experience.
- Surgical Precision: You will dive into a complex Java/Kotlin and Angular ecosystem to resolve high-priority \"Break-fix\" incidents within aggressive SLA timelines.
- Stability Champion: Beyond fixing bugs, you will identify and refactor technical debt to improve long-term system health and prevent regressions.
- Cloud-Native Execution: You will leverage AWS to ensure the application remains scalable, secure, and highly available.
- Quality First Mindset: You are committed to a 90%+ First-Time Fix Rate, ensuring that every code push is thoroughly tested and bug-free.
Key Responsibilities:
Engineering & Maintenance:
- Own end-to-end delivery of fixes & minor enhancements for Angular/Capacitor & Kotlin/Java platform.
- Troubleshoot & resolve mobile-specific issues within Capacitor layer (plugins, native bridges, & performance).
- Maintain a relentless focus on meeting P1–P4 resolution SLAs (ranging from 4 hours to 10 days).
- Perform deep-dive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for critical incidents to ensure permanent remediation.
- Participate actively in all Sprint ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, triage, and planning sessions.
Quality Engineering & Testing:
- Test-Driven Maintenance: Responsible for writing and maintaining a comprehensive suite of unit, integration & end-to-end (E2E) tests for every fix and enhancement to ensure 90%+ First-Time Fix Rate.
- Zero-Regression Commitment: Execute rigorous regression testing for all legacy code touchpoints to ensure that new patches do not disrupt existing functionality in the production environment.
- Automated Coverage: Build and maintain automated test scripts within the CI/CD pipeline (AWS) to accelerate the \"Definition of Done\" (DoD) and reduce manual QA overhead.
- Security-Focused Testing: Conduct vulnerability-focused unit testing as part of the mandatory Security Patching SLA to ensure patches are effective and secure.
Technical Debt & Performance:
- Execute \"Maintenance User Stories\" aimed at refactoring legacy code and upgrading outdated libraries.
- Monitor application performance & implement backend optimizations in Kotlin/Java to reduce latency.
- Ensure 100% compliance with security patching requirements for identified vulnerabilities.
Collaboration & Documentation:
- Coordinate with Delivery Lead & stakeholders to provide technical updates during late-night syncs.
- Maintain high-quality technical documentation, including updated Runbooks and KB articles.
- Peer-review team code to ensure adherence to WGS2D’s rigorous \"Definition of Done\" (DoD).
Required Qualifications & Experience (startup / cloud-first environments is a plus):
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of hands-on experience in full-stack development using Kotlin/Java (Spring Boot) and Angular.
- Mandatory hands-on experience with Capacitor (or similar hybrid frameworks) for mobile application maintenance.
- Strong proficiency in AWS services (EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3) and modern CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience working in SLA-driven environments and managing production-level technical debt.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Why Join Us
- Direct impact on a high-visibility platform with a global user base.
- Work in a high-accountability environment with a 100% Say/Do ratio culture.
- Collaborate with an elite engineering squad on cutting-edge hi-tech challenges.
