We are looking for a highly skilled Technical Writer to create clear, accurate, and engaging documentation that supports our technology teams, internal stakeholders, and external partners. This role involves producing a wide range of technical content - including system documentation, SOPs, integration guides, API references, release notes, and training materials - while ensuring consistency and clarity across all documentation.

The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into simple, accessible language. Experience working within fast-paced technology environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams is essential.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and continuously improve technical documentation including product guides, integration documents, API references, architecture overviews, SOPs, and internal knowledge-based articles.
• Work closely with Engineering, Product, DevOps, QA, and Compliance teams to gather information and ensure accuracy and clarity in all documentation.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, user-friendly content tailored for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Develop templates, structures, and documentation standards to ensure consistency across all BET99 technical documents.
• Review and edit content for grammar, style, consistency, and technical accuracy.
• Document new features, enhancements, and system behaviors as part of release cycles, including change logs and release notes.
• Produce onboarding materials and training documentation for internal teams and external partners.
• Maintain version control and documentation repositories using tools such as Confluence, Notion, Git, or similar platforms.
• Interview subject matter experts (SMEs) to extract technical information and validate content.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and security standards (AGCO/iGO, KGC, internal policies) when producing documentation.
• Stay current with best practices in technical communication, tooling, and documentation workflows.

Skills and Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Technical Writer in a software or technology-focused environment.
• Proven ability to write and maintain technical documentation for complex systems, APIs, and integrations.
• Strong ability to simplify complex topics and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with high attention to detail.
• Deep understanding of software development processes, SDLC concepts, and cloud-based architectures.
• Experience working with documentation platforms: Confluence, Notion, Git-based tools, Diagram-as-code (Mermaid, PlantUML), API documentation tooling (OpenAPI pipelines) etc.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple documentation streams simultaneously.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain structured, searchable documentation repositories.
• Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field.

Nice to Have

• Experience in the online gaming, sportsbook, or fintech industry.
• Familiarity with APIs, JSON, Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI documentation.
• Exposure to regulatory/industry frameworks (AGCO/iGO, FINTRAC, KGC).
• Experience creating diagrams using tools such as Lucidchart, Visio, or Draw.io.
• Knowledge of agile development environments and workflows.
• Understanding of DevOps concepts and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS).
• Ability to produce training videos, visuals, or multimedia content.
