Busy accounting firm seeking Quickbooks and payroll experienced professional to work with our small business clients. Permanent, part-time position with 25 year old firm located in the growing Loudoun County Virginia area. Hybrid position working from our offices in Ashburn, VA as well as remote work from your home. (60% out of our offices 40% remote)

20-30 hours per week

Must have excellent computer and communication skills

• Excel
• Word
• Quickbooks
• tax prep (corporate and personal) experience a plus.

Duties include:

• Payroll processing, generate paychecks, process tax withholding payments
• Posting of transactions from client bank statements and credit card statements
• A/P and A/R
• General journal entries
• Pay bills for clients, post payments
• Sales tax reporting
• Prepare financial statements in Quickbooks
• Expense report processing
• Excel spreadsheets - client work papers
• Month end and year end accounting close out of the books for business/corporate tax prep
• Assist with answering phones when on site at our company offices
• Prepare and update client budget and cash flow projections
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task
• A keen attention to detail
• A “can do” attitude and ability to work in a relaxed, casual, fun environment
• Ability to work both in a team environment and independently
• Advanced knowledge of Quickbooks
• Strong Excel skills
• 5+ years of bookkeeping and/or finance experience
