Make a meaningful impact with the BC Green Party as a Finance and Compliance Officer. This hybrid role focuses on financial management, reporting, and regulatory compliance to sustain party operations.
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the party's financial health. Your tasks will include full-cycle bookkeeping, managing payroll, and preparing financial statements. You will also ensure compliance with Elections B.C. while collaborating closely with leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate donations processing
- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements for oversight
- Develop and monitor annual and election-period budgets
- Lead preparation of statutory reports for Elections B.C.
- Ensure compliance with advertising regulations and verify contributor eligibility
Requirements
- Minimum three years of bookkeeping or financial management experience
- Proficient in QuickBooks Online and Excel
- Bachelor's degree in finance or related field
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven budget development and reporting experience
