Responsibilities

• Cutting , trimming and styling hair
• Shaving and trimming beards and mustaches
• Consulting with clients about their desired hairstyle
• Hair washing
• Keeping tools clean and sanitized
• Maintaining clean workstation and shop area
• Scheduling appointments and assisting walk in customers
• Recommending hair and beard care products
• Following heath safety and sanitation regulation
• providing good customer service and creating welcoming experience.

Requirements

• A valid barber license (required in most U.S. states, including Virginia)
• Knowledge of haircutting, shaving, beard grooming, and styling techniques
• Understanding of sanitation and safety procedures
• Good customer service and communication skills
• Ability to stand for long periods
• Ability to use barber tools safely (clippers, trimmers, razors, scissors)
• Professional appearance and reliability
• Time-management and appointment-scheduling skills
