JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will make critical product accept/reject decisions while adhering to quality specifications based upon customer standards and technical requirements, using precision measuring equipment. You will also assist the QA Manager with resolving customer and non-conforming technical issues.
SCOPE:
- Maintains quality standards by approving incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products, recording quality results.
RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Responsible for performing incoming, in-process, and final inspections activities and maintaining appropriate records of this activity.
- Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
- Approves in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production manager.
- Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database.
- Uses various precision measuring and testing equipment. Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions, calling for repairs.
- Conducts routine sampling and inspection of work processes and product.
- Distinguishes between conforming and non-conforming processes/procedures based upon objective evidence.
- Performs visual inspections of partially finished and finished products, accepting or rejecting them in accordance with the customer specifications.
- Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 3 years in Quality Assurance.
- Ability to read, understand and verify Bills of Material (BOMs), assembly drawings, detail drawings, and/or other technical information requirements.
- Demonstrates the ability to clearly communicate in written and verbal communication.
- Detail Orientated.
- Strong decision-making skills.
- Ability to set priorities
- Coordinate, enforce and/or train to all company and ISO procedural requirement.
- Strong computer skills. Experience using MS-Excel, Word and other Windows-based software applications.
- Good interpersonal skills/team leader.
- Ability to evaluate and solve problems.
- Knowledge of fiberglass (FRP) fabrication and properties is a plus.
Salary will be based on experience.
Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
