Key responsibilities include:I. Pedagogical and Didactic Responsibilities- Planning and Instruction: Design and implement stimulating teaching and learning situations for secondary students, in line with the Quebec Education Program (QEP).- Assessment: Prepare, administer, and grade various assessments (assignments, exams, projects) to measure student progress and assign results according to the MEQ's Evaluation Framework.- Differentiation: Address student heterogeneity and adapt pedagogical strategies (explicit teaching, projects, workshops) to support the success and pleasure of learning for all students.- Cultural Mediation: Act as a mediator of cultural elements in History, Geography, and Contemporary World to foster critical and responsible citizenship.- Digital Integration: Use and mobilize relevant digital tools to enrich teaching and promote active learning.II. Professional and Collaborative Responsibilities- Student Monitoring: Evaluate progress, discuss results with students, parents, and the school team.- Collaboration: Actively participate in the school team (meetings, committees) and collaborate with other teachers and professionals to ensure the consistency of interventions.- School Life: Participate in school life activities (supervision, extracurricular activities, educational field trips) to contribute to the students' overall development.- Ethics: Act in accordance with the ethical principles of the profession and engage in a continuous professional development approach. Required Qualifications o OR Be eligible for a Provisional Teaching Authorization (e.g., full-time enrollment in a Bachelor's or Qualifying Master's in Education program, or relevant experience).Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education, Social Sciences profile (History and Geography) or a relevant related discipline.
