A well-established structural steel fabrication and erection company based in Owings, MD is looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Construction Accountant who knows their way around a job cost report as well as they know QuickBooks.

About the Role

This is a Full-cycle bookkeeping — AP, AR, payroll, bank reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Job costing and WIP tracking across active projects
• QuickBooks management, maintenance, and reporting
• Subcontractor payments, lien waivers, and compliance documentation
• Month-end close and financial reporting for ownership

Qualifications

• 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience — construction industry strongly preferred

Required Skills

• Advanced QuickBooks proficiency is a must (Contractor or Enterprise versions a plus)
• Familiarity with AIA billing, certified payroll, or union reporting is a major plus
• Organized, self-sufficient, and comfortable owning the books without a lot of hand-holding
• Local to the Owings/Southern Maryland area — this is a fully on-site role

Pay range and compensation package

$60,000–$80,000 | Full-Time | On-Site
