We are looking for a capable resource to coordinate ranging from simple activities to more complex plans. This role will provide onsite/ on-call assistance to end-users within the organisation’s desktop computing environment in a timely and accurate fashion to ensure optimal service delivery.

About the Role

Axiom Technologies is seeking an experienced IT Desktop Support Engineer based in Hoboken, New Jersey to work as an independent contractor (freelancer). The role involves providing onsite technical support for hardware, software, and networking environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide day-to-day onsite IT support for desktops, laptops, and printers.

Perform hardware repairs and replacements for laptops, desktops, and printers.

Troubleshoot and resolve LAN and WAN connectivity issues across various network devices.

Manage user accounts, permissions, and group policies in Active Directory.

Handle incident management and service requests through ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems.

Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, applications, and peripherals.

Coordinate with remote support teams and vendors for escalations.

Maintain asset inventory and ensure timely documentation of all service activities.

Deliver excellent customer service and communicate effectively with end users.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in IT desktop or technical support.

Strong knowledge of hardware repair, network troubleshooting, Active Directory, and ServiceNow.

Proficient in both Windows and macOS environments.

Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
