Data and Analytics Engineer

• Location: Montreal (Day 1 onboarding onsite / in office presence 3x week)
• Experience Level: Level 4 (advanced): 7-15 years

Responsibilities

• Hands-on development and data pipeline creation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization.
• Contribute to the evolution of the current strategy.
• Provide specialist data analysis and expertise for decision‑making and business insights.
• Craft data pipelines and implement data models.
• Optimize data processes for improved accuracy and accessibility.
• Apply machine learning and AI‑based techniques.

Requirements

• Experience in data engineering or a related field.
• Design and implement data pipelines and workflows.
• Develop dashboards and reports using Power BI and Tableau.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into data models and visualizations.
• Utilize Dataiku and other analytics platforms for data preparation and advanced analytics.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and security.
• Optimize performance of dashboards and queries for large datasets.
• Stay updated on emerging trends in data analytics and visualization technologies.
• Experience with Snowflake and Databricks (at least one).
• Knowledge of database systems (SQL and NoSQL).
• Experience with Snowflake Cortex is appreciated.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and their data services.
• Experience using Jupyter notebooks for data exploration, analysis, and visualization.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a geographically distributed team.
