The Role
- Write digital and radio news stories.
- Find story ideas, interview sources, and verify information.
- Build relationships with local stakeholders and news sources.
- Record and edit news reports for on-air delivery.
The Ideal Candidate
- You enjoy engaging with the community and learning new things.
- You have strong written and verbal communication skills and are familiar with the Canadian Press Guide.
- News reporting experience is an asset.
- Experience with Burli, audio editing software, photography, and/or videography is an asset.
- You are dedicated to your craft and willing to work outside regular business hours when required.
- You have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
