Position: Counsellor for Individual and Family Services
Location: Northwestern Saskatchewan (Battleford)
Become a Counsellor, specializing in individual, couple, and family support. Assess needs promptly and connect clients to resources, while providing education on mental health topics.
This full-time or part-time position requires a Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field. The successful candidate will conduct solution-focused assessments, support clients with appropriate referrals, and create educational workshops for community members. Ensuring accurate case documentation and participating in necessary consultations is crucial.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide counselling services across various demographics
- Conduct assessments and connect clients with resources
- Make referrals to appropriate services as needed
- Develop mental health education sessions for community outreach
- Maintain detailed case records in compliance with policies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Social Work or counselling-related degree
- Preferred Master’s degree and clinical experience
- Familiarity with mental health and addictions knowledge
- Registration with a recognized counselling association
- Excellent crisis intervention and communication skills
