Job Summary

International Delhi Public School, Gorantla (Kadiri Road), Sri Sathya Sai District, invites applications for the position of High School Social Studies Teacher to handle Classes VI–X under the CBSE curriculum. The candidate should possess strong subject knowledge in History, Geography, Civics (Political Science), and Economics, along with the ability to make social sciences engaging and relevant.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver Social Studies lessons in alignment with the CBSE curriculum.
• Teach core subjects including History, Geography, Political Science (Civics), and Economics.
• Prepare annual academic plans, lesson plans, and assessment schedules.
• Conduct periodic assessments, projects, assignments, and examinations.
• Prepare students for CBSE Grade X Board Examinations.
• Encourage critical thinking, discussion, debates, and project-based learning.
• Use maps, digital tools, and activity-based teaching methods effectively.
• Monitor student progress and provide remedial support where required.
• Participate in school events, exhibitions, and co-curricular activities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Studies/History/Geography/Political Science/Economics
• B.Ed. (Mandatory)
• Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience at middle/high school level (CBSE preferred)
• Strong communication skills in English
• Good knowledge of CBSE syllabus and evaluation methods
