Job Description

We are seeking an experienced IT Specialist responsible for delivering business application technology across multiple Lines of Business. This role requires strong hands-on technical expertise in deploying applications across diverse on‑premise, cloud, and hybrid environments. The successful candidate will support end‑to‑end deployments, design automation solutions, and partner with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality technology services.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities

Application Deployment & Environment Management

Perform application deployments (automated and manual) across:

Public Cloud (Microsoft Azure)

Private Cloud

Physical hosting environments

Lead end-to-end deployment efforts across all environments.

Deploy and manage applications on the following platforms:

Jboss, Tomcat, Apache, WebSphere, IHS 8/9, EWS

UNIX / Linux

Windows Server (2016, 2019 — standalone & cluster)

.NET, IIS

Node.js, Spring Boot

Automation & DevOps Engineering

Design, build, implement, and maintain automation for build, install, and deployment of:

Code packages

Application artifacts

Configurations

Implement automation and infrastructure-as-code using scripting languages:

Bash, PowerShell, Python, JavaScript, YAML

Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines across environments using:

Jenkins, Git, GitLab, Salt, Terraform, Jira, Confluence

Use XLR and XLD for DevOps release orchestration.

Cloud & Container Technologies

Deploy and maintain applications on Azure cloud‑native microservices architecture.

Demonstrated experience with:

Docker containerization

Kubernetes / ECS clustering

Monitoring, Reliability & Best Practices

Implement effective monitoring and operational automation techniques.

Apply infrastructure, security, and networking fundamentals.

Ensure systems follow SDLC best practices, change management processes, and operational compliance.

Job Requirements

Education

College or University degree OR equivalent hands-on work experience.

Technical Skills & Experience

6+ years in IT technology roles.

Strong background across Windows and Linux operating environments.

Knowledge of:

Web technologies

Database management best practices

Networking fundamentals

Experience with version control systems (Git, Bitbucket, MKS).

Experience working in and advocating for Agile environments.

Azure certifications (preferred).

Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.

Soft Skills

Strong communication (written and verbal).

Ability to work in fast‑paced environments with multiple priorities.

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple platforms & deadlines.

Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion.
