The cybersecurity data analyst is responsible for conducting analysis on data for improving and optimizing the client’s cybersecurity efforts. This position will be responsible for developing and reporting on key performance indicators to measure effectiveness.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
This role examines data from different sources with the goal of providing insight into organizational security processes and information systems. Analysts design, document, and implement custom algorithms, workflow processes, and large data sets used for modeling, data mining, and research purposes.

Required Qualifications:
The individual performing tasks must meet or exceed the following qualifications:
- Working knowledge of Splunk Search Processing Language (SPL). (Candidates must pass an SPL assessment.)
- At least 1 year of experience performing statistical analysis on large data sets.
+ The successful candidate will demonstrate statistical analysis such as identifying the standard deviation of a large data set.
+ In doing so, the candidate can use any tool such as spreadsheet software, database software, business intelligence and visualization tools, or programming languages and platforms. However, candidates may not utilize LLM or AI-assisted solutions such as ChatGPT.
Desired Qualifications:
Nice to have qualifications include:
- At least three years of experience in cybersecurity with at least 1 year of that experience in data analysis.
- Good communication and customer relationship skills.
