<p>As our Radiation Effects Engineer you will be responsible for analyzing and testing candidate electronics for our spacecraft. This position requires hands-on experience validating parts for radiation environments specific to aerospace.</p>
<h4><strong>Role</strong></h4>
<ul>
<li>Support the design of fault tolerant electrical systems for operating in a radiation environment</li>
<li>Simulate and model the GTO and GEO radiation environments on PCBA designs</li>
<li>Coordinate and run radiation testing campaigns to upscreen components</li>
<li>Develop fault-tolerant systems & operations into the spacecraft by working closely with the rest of the team</li>
<li>Support other electrical design, bringup, and test activities</li>
<li>Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring additional teammates to our rapidly-growing team</li>
</ul>
<h4><strong>Requirements</strong></h4>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor of Science degree in nuclear engineering, electrical engineering, physics, or equivalent technical field</li>
<li>A passion for hardware development, including working in a fast-paced environment and hands-on design and development</li>
<li>Experience with electrical design</li>
<li>Experience designing and testing for radiation effects</li>
<li>Experience in testing analog and digital circuits</li>
<li>Experience with fault-tolerant high reliability systems</li>
<li>US Citizenship or Green Card</li>
</ul>
<h4><strong>Bonus</strong></h4>
<ul>
<li>Experience developing electrical designs in space or other high-radiation environments</li>
<li>Experience with the Geostationary radiation environment (TID, SEE, DDD)</li>
<li>Experience running tests at radiation labs</li>
<li>Experience with designing dosimeter circuits</li>
<li>ECAD + MCAD Experience (Altium, Solidworks)</li>

<div>Astranis pay ranges are informed and defined through professional-grade salary surveys and compensation data sources.
