Job Description

If you are a Registered Psychologist (Provisional ok) or a Registered Social Worker (MSW preferred) and are passionate about helping others in a clinical counselling setting, we would love to hear from you. If you want to join a group practice with all the benefits and advantages of working with a group practice, look no further. We have both part time and full time contract opportunities available. Hybrid of in-person and virtual services for clients.

We provide a supportive and collaborative team environment, competitive wages, professional office space with the support of an office manager, full time admin support, an evening and weekend receptionist, website presence, email address, marketing, referrals, electronic scheduling, invoicing, clinical consultation, and more. Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide clinical counselling services (individual and/or couples counselling, child and youth counselling, high conflict services, addictions, mental health, etc.)
  • Develop and facilitate workshops and seminars (varying topics) - optional
  • Group facilitation - optional
  • Manage client files
  • Access clinical supervision and professional development on a regular basis
  • Attend team meetings as required
  • Network and self-promote (in addition to the marketing provided courtesy of Aspire Too)

Qualifications and Skills

You must:

  • Have clinical experience (2-5 years preferred)
  • Masters level education preferred
  • Be registered in your professional designation (RSW or R. Psych)
  • Have Professional Liability Insurance
  • Work from an eclectic approach and be able to use a variety of therapeutic and clinical approaches such as solution focussed, CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, narrative, etc.; trauma informed, cultural and diversity sensitivity, anti-racist, pro-LGBTQ2S+, mental health knowledge and experience is an asset. Specialized training including EMDR, ART, The Gottman Method, SE, etc is desirable.
  • Be a team player with a positive attitude and superior communication skills
  • Have the ability to work independently in a team environment
  • Provide your own cell phone, computer, and vehicle
  • Provide a criminal record check and vulnerable sector/child welfare check
